Introduction to The Cavern

The Cavern Resort and Spa named after Cannibal Cavern. As, this was a cave where refugees from the marauding parties of King Shaka, turned to cannibalism out of sheer hunger—located in the foothills of the Northern Drakensberg and the World Heritage Site area. Once a simple homestead; today, it is one of the leading resorts of the Drakensberg.

Accommodation:
Firstly, Standard rooms
The standard rooms have en-suite bathroom’s. Moreover, tea and coffee making facilities. Additionally, a patio with mountain views. No TV sets provided.
Superior rooms
The superior rooms are large. Furthermore, they have a TV, tea and coffee making facilities. Moreover, a bar fridge. The patios, overlook an indigenous fern forest.
Superior Suites

The superior suites provide all the facilities of superior rooms. However, they have a private fireplace. Furthermore, set in the indigenous fern forest.
Standard Three Bedded Family Room
The standard family room sleeps three. Moreover, it comprises a king-size double bed and a single bed in the same room. Also, consist of an en suite bath and shower room. Furthermore, the provision of tea and coffee making facilities and a patio. A cot is available on request. These rooms are in a lush garden.
Standard Family Interleading Room
These units include two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom has two beds. One is a single bed and the other a bunk-beds. Moreover, the units have an en suite bath and shower. Also, tea and coffee making facilities and an outside patio.
Superior Family Interleading Room
This unit comprises two bedrooms and a lounge. Also, the main bedroom has a king-size double bed. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds for children. Furthermore, this unit has an en suite bath and shower. Additionally, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, bar fridge, fireplace and outside patio.
Superior Family Suites
These suites comprise two bedrooms and a lounge. The main bedroom has a king-size double bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed for children. Furthermore, an en suite bath and shower, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, bar fridge, fireplace and an outside patio are provided.
