Highbourne Self-Catering Cottage is a rustic, self-contained mountain cottage. Moreover, nestled in the Central Drakensberg Mountains. Furthermore, it is split into two cottage units.
Facilities
Highbourne Cottage facilities encompass a self-catering house that is divided into two units or cottages or are kept as one unit for a larger family or group.
Unit One (The Original Cottage)
This cottage can sleep up to six people. Furthermore, it has a fully equipped kitchen, including a stove, fridge and microwave oven.
Also, there is a living area combining a lounge and dining room and centring around a welcoming fireplace.
The wooden staircase leads upstairs to a loft bedroom with two single beds, and there is a divan that can sleep, two extra people.



Unit two (The newer section)
This unit can sleep up to four people. Moreover, It also has its own fully equipped kitchen with a stove, fridge and microwave oven. Furthermore, the kitchen is an open plan leading to the lounge and dining area.

The en suite bathroom consists of a basin, toilet, ball and claw bath.
Additionally, it has an outside shower leading off the bathroom, for those who desire a shower with a view!
Sustainable Power
Highbourne is proud to produce its own sustainable solar-generated electricity. Therefore it is entirely off the grid. However, due to the limitations of solar power, no appliances with elements may be used (i.e. hairdryers, kettles, steam irons and toasters. There are no TV’s in the cottages.
Highbourne can supply seasonal vegetables, which are fresh from their farm, eggs, jams and firewood. These need to be purchased.
Additionally, pre-arranged meals can be supplied.
