Shiriba Lodge has two magnificent self-catering facilities. Located in the Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peak area, of the Central Drakensberg. So the views of the Drakensberg are magnificent.
But Shiriba is a working farm of some 20 hectares. So guests will find it fascinating to see maize or soya been sowed or harvested.
Honey Stone is ideally suited for a couple. But, Fire Fly is for a family. But, Shiriba does not accept children younger than 12. Situated on a picturesque dam where you can fish and canoe. Free Wi-fi is available.
The fishing is excellent. The dam teems with Bass and Tilapia. Rods are available on request.
Fire Fly has two bedrooms with double beds. Both of these rooms have en-suite bathrooms. It has a large dining room and sitting room area. A sleeper couch is provided on request. The venue has beautiful dam views.
Furthermore, Firefly has a well-fitted kitchen, with a gas stove, microwave oven, fridge, kettle and a large sink.
Moreover, a fence surrounds this self-catering unit. But the dam frontage is not. So this allows for easy access to this magnificent water feature. An outdoor private shower exists and is ideal for those with a naturist inclination.
Honeystone is a double-storey thatched cottage. It has a garden with a rock pool and formal braai facility. The bottom storey of the cottage has a well-fitted kitchen, dining room and sitting room. The top storey contains a romantic bedroom and en-suite bathroom.
Another feature of this cottage is a wooden thatched deck and walkway over part of the dam. So guests can enjoy a sun-downer, whilst watching the rich birdlife of this water feature.
