INTRODUCTION TO RIVER CROSSING LODGE DIRECTIONS
The following section provides detailed River Crossing Lodge Directions. It includes a Google Map of the location of River Crossing Lodge. This Lodge located in Cathkin Park or the Champagne Valley of the Central Drakensberg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

FROM GAUTENG:
Firstly, if you are travelling from Gauteng, take the N3 to Harrismith. At Harrismith turn left onto the N5 to Bethlehem. But don’t forget to turn left onto the R74 to Bergville. Then keep on the R74, travelling past the magnificent Sterkfontein Dam and Little Switzerland. This area is also known as the Oliviershoek Pass.
Carry on along the R74 and travel through Bergville. You will then reach Winterton. At the robots just after the “Pig and Plough” turn right onto the R600. Keep on the R600, for 20 kilometres. You will then see a large brown sign indicating that you should turn right to River Crossing Lodge and a range of other establishments. This is the D53. Travel along this road and you will see another composite sign including River Crossing. Turn right at this sign on to the R184 and travel some 750m until you see The River Crossing Lodge sig on the left.
FROM DURBAN AND PIETERMARITZBURG
In the first place travel on the N3 from Durban. Then keep on the N3 until you see the Loskop/ Estcourt Off ramp (179). Then turn left at the intersection towards Loskop. Travel along the Loskop Road. Finally, you will reach an intersection with the R600 at Thokozisa. Travel some 20 km on the R600 until you see the sign indicating the turnoff to the D53/ Cayley Lodge. Travel along this road and you will see another composite sign including River Crossing. Turn right at this sign on to the R184 and travel some 750m until you see The River Crossing Lodge sig on the left.
FROM THE FREE STATE:
Travel along the N5 through Bethlehem. Turn right onto the R74 just before Harrismith. Then keep on the R74, travelling past the magnificent Sterkfontein Dam and Little Switzerland. This area is also known as the Oliviershoek Pass.
