Bonukuhle Cottage in the Central Drakensberg is an ideal self-catering venue for a family. However, it is primarily available over the Christmas and Easter Period.
The house has three bedrooms with single beds. One bedroom is downstairs and two upstairs. Also, one of the rooms can be made up into a king-size bed. There is also a single bed on the landing upstairs, which can be used for a child. Furthermore, there is a sleeper couch in an inter-leading room which is also suitable for a child. So it sleeps, six adults and two children.
The main bedroom downstairs is en suite with a bath and shower. Also, there is another small bathroom downstairs with a shower and toilet. There is no bathroom upstairs, so both of these bedrooms need to use the downstairs bathroom.
The lounge, dining room and kitchen are open plan. Additionally, there is a TV with a full DSTV package. There is a fireplace in the lounge.
The kitchen is equipped with a stove, fridge and microwave. There is also a dishwasher.
The cottage has a braai area out the back with spectacular views of the mountain. It is not undercover. It has a Weber braai as well as outdoor furniture.
The cottage is not serviced daily, but if guests stay for an extended period, it will be maintained every second day.
It is in a fully fenced garden near our house so very secure. Bonukuhle Cottage is on the main road so close to all attractions. Bonukuhle Cottage is not pet friendly. We do not have a pool but are only 3 km from Dragon Peaks.
